Eighteen years of Mexican folklórico dance in the heart of the Valley.

Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli–AZ teaches and performs the traditional folk dances of Mexico, welcoming dancers ages 5 through adult across the Phoenix Valley. What began as a single recreational class has grown into one of the few dedicated folklórico companies serving the East Valley, performing for audiences locally and internationally.

Performances & Events

PERFORMANCE HISTORY

BFQ AZ has performed at community festivals, cultural celebrations, and theaters
across Arizona for eighteen years, including the Annual C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona Mariachi
and Folklórico Festivals (the 27th Annual this year, November 1 at the Chandler
Center for the Arts, and the 3rd Annual at the Herberger Theater in March 2026), the
City of Chandler’s Multicultural Festival, Chandler CONTIGO, the Phoenix Pride Parade,
Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix Zoo, and the Musical Instrument Museum, to name
a few. The company has also been featured on Telemundo’s Somos Arizona and
Acceso Total, among others.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, BFQ AZ relies on community support to fund scholarships, costumes, and performance opportunities for its dancers.
